Editorial Policy at Full of Life Recovery Center

Our Standards for Content Excellence

At Full of Life Recovery Center, we want to be sure that every piece of content published on our website is both accurate and dependable.

The information that people find when looking for treatment for substance use disorder or mental health issues can impact the decisions made by them or by someone they love. We take that responsibility seriously.

All content on our website is held to a set of consistent editorial standards before being published. These standards are not a one-time check, but reflect our overall mission: to provide safe, structured, and long-term recovery to those who enter our program and to offer reliable, honest information to all visitors to our website, whether they are a current client, a family member, or someone simply looking for more information about substance use and treatment.

We believe that providing high-quality, trustworthy content is just as important as providing high-quality, trustworthy treatment. If we expect families and people seeking recovery to place their trust in us about something as crucial as recovery, that trust should begin with how accurately we represent ourselves with the information we put into the world.

How We Approach Editorial Integrity

Careful Selection of Contributors

Before accepting submissions from writers and contributors for content creation for our website, Full of Life Recovery Center conducts a thorough review of each individual’s history, qualifications, credentials, and level of expertise related to the topic of addiction, recovery, and mental health.

It takes more than simple writing skills to produce well-researched articles about recovery. It takes an understanding of the topic itself as well as respect for the people reading it.

Medical Review Before Publication

Accuracy of medical, clinical, and treatment-based content is far and away the most critical aspect of creating a solid foundation of credibility on our website.

All content produced on behalf of Full of Life Recovery Center is reviewed by a qualified medical reviewer before publication in order to ensure that the information in it is up-to-date, responsible, and accurate. We do not publish oversimplified claims or outdated understanding of addiction and mental health treatment.

Reliable, Sourced Information

When our content references medical or clinical research or information, we will cite legitimate and credible sources where that information was obtained, including:

  • Peer-reviewed academic journals or research
  • Government agencies
  • Reputable health organizations such as SAMSHA, NIDA, or NAMI, that recognize and establish guidelines for effective treatments for addiction and mental health.

When discussing medical or clinical information, we avoid unsubstantiated claims based on either speculation or anecdotal evidence and strive to provide information that readers can rely on.

Ongoing Review and Updates

Our goal to publish accurate content isn’t done once that article goes live.

Medical understanding evolves, treatment approaches are refined over time, and language around addiction and mental health continues to change as the field learns more. This is why we regularly review existing content on our website to check that it still reflects current, accurate information, and update or correct pages as needed rather than letting outdated information sit unchanged.

If an article is updated or revised in any way, we will clearly indicate when it was last updated and, when appropriate, provide a summary of what was revised.

Why This Matters to Us

At Full of Life Recovery Center, we believe that our mission to help people on their journey toward long-term recovery isn’t contained within our walls.

For many people, their first experience with Full of Life will be through viewing pages on this website — often while they are afraid, unsure, or trying to find support for someone they care about. We do not take this lightly.

Misleading or inaccurate information may cause some people to lose confidence in pursuing help, create unrealistic expectations about successfully completing treatment, or contribute to the spread of misinformation related to addiction. Our editorial standards are designed to avoid this and to provide information that each reader of this website can depend on, whether they read one blog or explore our entire website.

We also carefully select the language used throughout all of our content. The topic of substance abuse is frequently surrounded by stigma, and thoughtless or judgemental wording may deter people who would otherwise seek out our help. It is our goal to present information that is medically correct and written with the compassion we bring to our treatment.

Corrections & Ongoing Feedback

Although we thoroughly review each item before its publication on our website, mistakes can happen, and medical knowledge can evolve over time, resulting in previously acceptable content becoming outdated.

If you ever notice anything inaccurate, outdated, or unclear on our website, please let us know. Reports of potential errors are reviewed by our editorial and clinical team, and corrections are made promptly once verified.

We view this as an ongoing relationship between our organization and our visitors and readers rather than as a one-directional transfer of information. Feedback received from clients, families, clinicians, and others continues to allow Full of Life Recovery Center to update the accuracy and effectiveness of all articles published.

Our Content Team

All material posted by Full of Life Recovery Center is written and reviewed by qualified professionals committed to our same standard of excellence.
